Our Pastor

Dominic P Petit is the Pastor of the Christ First Global Methodist Church. His preaching style is easily summed up by his beliefs…

  • I believe God is the creator of all things heaven and earth.
  • I believe in an everlasting and unending God.
  • I believe in the Holy Trinity of the God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • I believe that Jesus, the Son of God was sacrificed to atone for all humankind sin, rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
  • I believe through Jesus’ sacrifice; he provided us with salvation and eternal life.
  • I believe the scriptures are inerrant and represent God’s everlasting word.
  • I believe in equality for all peoples, without regard to race, color, age, or social standing.

You will often hear Pastor Dominic say “If it’s not in the bible or doesn’t glorify God, I’m not going to preach about it.” He adds some humor to worship and draws on his own personal experiences as a father of two boys, a veteran and a former business owner to augment his messages.

Dominic Petit began his calling as a Youth Leader in 2000. He spent 18 years running a weekly youth group which became quite popular in the area and grew from 5 to 45 kids. As a youth pastor, he participated in an annual Winter Retreat as well as many large mission trips to Indiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and more.

Dominic also served on the Finance Committee, Building Committee, small group ministries and started a Men’s group. During this time, Pastor Dominic continued his religious studies by taking several classes each year. Eventually he became a certified Lay Speaker in the Methodist Church which led to his calling as a Licensed Local Pastor.

Before transitioning to the Global Methodist Church, Dominic served as the Pastor of two United Methodist Churches for three years. He is excited to focus on bible-based teachings as the pastor of Christ First Global Methodist Church.

On his free time, you can find Dominic at his small horse ranch in Pulaski doing ranch chores or riding one of his dirt bikes. He is a cowboy at heart.
