About Christ First Church
Christ First is a brand-new church started by a group of devoted Christians who are called to build a bible-based church in the Green Bay community that follows the original Methodist tradition. We are currently worshiping in the beautiful sanctuary of the First United Presbyterian Church in DePere. You are welcome to join us and help create the church we believe God wants us to build.
Mission
To spread God’s biblical truth which will impact lives and change the world.
In our worship, we desire to surrender to and be fully devoted to one God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are passionate about what is important to God.
Jesus calls those who follow Him to love God wholeheartedly and love their neighbors as themselves. Our desire is to demonstrate to the world the extravagant love of God in the person of Jesus Christ.
We have been entrusted with a lifesaving and transforming message that we must share with others. Our witness is bold, compelling and fearless. Our mission advances when individuals become disciples of Jesus Christ and join God’s mission to make more disciples.
Vision
Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, Christ First Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ who flourish in scriptural holiness, in worship, in love, and in Christian witness.
We desire to share the whole counsel of God with all peoples and to advance the presence and fulfillment of the Kingdom of God. Christ First Church is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the inspiration and authority of the Scriptures, and the work of the Holy Spirit in conveying God’s truth and grace to all people.
We are a church that recognizes and deploys the gifts and contributions of each part of the church, working as partners in the gospel with equal voice and leadership.
Our witness is marked by mutual love, concern, sharing, and a focus on those who are most vulnerable. We watch over one another in love and bear witness to the transforming power of the Good News as we humbly, but boldly, strive to serve others as ambassadors of Christ!
Beliefs
- The Trinity. In one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus. That Jesus is the Son of God, taking on humanity to reveal God to the world. He is the Savior of this world, taking on our sins through death on a cross and resurrecting so that we might live eternally with God.
- The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in believers and empowers them to live Godly lives.
- The Bible. That the Bible is the inspired word of God.
- Prayer. In the power of prayer and we encourage all to take their hearts to God through prayer.
- Salvation. That all people are made in the likeness of God and that salvation is available to them through Jesus.

- I believe God is the creator of all things heaven and earth.
- I believe in an everlasting and unending God.
- I believe in the Holy Trinity of the God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- I believe that Jesus, the Son of God was sacrificed to atone for all humankind sin, rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- I believe through Jesus’ sacrifice; he provided us with salvation and eternal life.
- I believe the scriptures are inerrant and represent God’s everlasting word.
- I believe in equality for all peoples, without regard to race, color, age, or social standing.
